FISKATEERS CROP IN MURPHEESBORO TN

Enjoy using Fiskar's products?  Yeah, me too.  Back in August I joined them to be a 'Fiskateer' and am really glad I did.  I went to a crop in Birmingham in September and had a great time.  In fact I had so much fun I got my mom and my sister, Beth signed up so they could go to the next one!  We made a day of it, went to Murpheesboro, got sidetracked and off the beaten path, imagine that, we were enjoying ourselves so much talking we missed our turn.  So we got to see a lot of the hills of TN that wasn't on the plan!  But we made it there alright.
Met some awesome people there, Bettye was the hostess with the mostess and provided Starbucks bottles with ORANGE bottle tops and provided our Fiskateers number so we could personalize our own bottles!  Too cute.  Got some more punches to go with my collection :)  So without further ado, here are the pictures to prove it.
Here Bettye is showing Annette and Bobbie (my downline) how to use the vinyl to decorate the bottles:
Nice big beautiful room to have the crop in - there is my sweet momma (in the black shirt sitting directly behind my sister Beth in the pink shirt)
This table was set up for us to make cards to donate to the VA hospital.
We met "Pinky" a designer for several different companies including Imagince, later I was able to find the same paper at thier local scrapbook store.  Yes, we HAD to check out the local SB store.
Everything was Orange, Bettye did a fantastic job in decorating the tables.
Pinky made the cakes for us - she got very creative.
Chocolate fudge, cookies, candy corn, water and other goodies including healthy bananas and apples.
We had ham and turkey sandwich's for lunch.

 And my loot:
Now, we have to work on getting my other sister Anita signed up to be Fiskateers so she can join us at the next one!

Making Cards

This month, I've have lots of birthdays and anniversaries to celebrate.  So decided to make some cards.

The tags were cut with my Cricut using the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge, which is fast becoming my favorite cartridge!

Now I'm off to meet the gals at the Fiskars crop in TN!  Can't wait to show you what all I hopefully will get done today!

Stay tuned!

Sonoma Workshop

The 24 hour crop was fantastic.  We had 13 ladies on Friday night and about 10 ladies on Saturday.  We had LOTZ of food, junk food and chocolate - so we were all  happy!  Had to make a Starbucs run though to make it through the night, I took a couple of cat naps, but it was good and will do a repeat in the spring!  Looking forward to it already.
My mom's birthday was September 12th, although we took her out twice to celebrate I had been lacking making her a card, so she told me that when I get to it, it better be a special card for her.  A couple of weeks ago, I went to a Fiskateers crop in B'ham, and made a junky card with all the little confetti stuff on the table, so it looked like it had sneezed on her card.  My friend suggested I make her a joke card first and then present her with the real thing.  So Friday night I did that, gave her the card and her gift, she thought it was beautiful and thanked me.  Then I reminded her of what she told me & presented her with the real deal.  I used the Sonoma paper pack to make it.

Yeah, I got the reaction I wanted :)  heehee

So, what did I work on over the weekend?  I sorted 500 pictures and realized on event I printed out 3 sets of - ugh, so someone will be blessed with about 100 pictures - a new scrapper :)  Gotta keep her busy.  But while most slept I worked on the Sanoma paper pack.  And this is the layout I made.  I think it might be my favoite pack to date.  But then again Close To My Heart keeps showering us with more paper packs surprises, so who knows what's next!

No, I must get busy & get ready for church!
(If you would like to see more of the paper pack & what all you can do with it - email me at happyscrappingom@gmail.com and I'll be happy to show you)
Have a great day everyone!
